EXPORT GUARDIAN is the ARMORISK program for exporters and logistics companies. It brings together pest control, plant quarantine treatment, conveyance sanitation, and OHS inspection and testing in one workflow, tailored to the commodity and the destination country’s requirements.
Why we created this program
Export shipments must meet quarantine rules and destination requirements. A single live pest or a missing document can hold up or even reject a whole shipment. Until now these needs were often handled by different providers, with clashing schedules and scattered documents. EXPORT GUARDIAN was created to close that gap.
- Risk of rejected or detained shipments because of pests or incorrect treatment.
- Pest control, fumigation, and equipment inspection schedules that do not line up with the shipping date.
- Documents from many providers that are hard to bring together for audits or inspections.
- Safety of warehouse and port workers during fumigation and cargo handling.
Who it is for
- Exporters of commodities that require fumigation: plantation, forestry, and fishery products.
- Logistics and freight forwarding companies.
- Warehouse operators and export packing services.
Benefits for you
- Lower risk of export rejection. Pests are suppressed in the warehouse, then the commodity is treated at the critical points.
- One door. One assessment, one schedule, and one coordination for all services.
- Aligned with regulations and export standards. Work follows national rules and the destination country’s current requirements.
- Audit-ready documentation. Legal and digital documents kept in one flow.
- Smoother operations. Fewer disruptions from delays or re-treatment.
- Better protected workers. Fumigation safety procedures and inspected equipment.
The bottom line. You do not need to coordinate several providers. We line up prevention, treatment, and safety verification toward one shipping date.
The role of each service
| Service | Role |
|---|---|
| Pest Control | Keeps warehouses, storage areas, and the surroundings of the commodity pest-free before treatment, reducing the risk of findings at inspection points. |
| Plant Quarantine Treatment | Fumigation of commodities, wood packaging, pallets, and cargo in line with Barantin rules and destination requirements. |
| Conveyance Sanitation | Fumigation or deratting, disinsection, and disinfection of the ship, aircraft, or land vehicle carrying the cargo, in line with health quarantine rules. |
| PJK3 Inspection & Testing | Inspection and testing of supporting equipment in warehouses and cargo handling within scope, so shipping activities run safely. |
Potential hazards and how we control them
| Hazard | Impact | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Live pests on commodities or wood packaging | Shipment rejected, detained, or re-treatment required | Pest control in storage areas and fumigation in line with requirements |
| Exposure of workers and bystanders to fumigant gas | Health and safety harm | Sealing, zone marking, gas monitoring, aeration, and verification before reopening |
| Treatment or documents not matching requirements | Shipment delays and extra costs | Early check of requirements and document verification before shipment |
| Unfit cargo handling equipment | Workplace accidents and schedule disruption | Inspection and testing within scope, with follow-up of findings |

Frequently asked questions
Do all commodities have to be fumigated?
No. It depends on the commodity, the packaging, and the destination country’s requirements. We help check this during assessment.
How long does it take?
It depends on the commodity, method, and space. We give an estimate in the work plan once the initial data is complete.
Can it be scheduled around the shipping date?
Yes. The schedule is planned backward from the shipping date so treatment and documents are ready on time.
Methods, fumigants, and documents follow the commodity, the destination requirements, and current quarantine rules. Inspection & Testing objects follow PT IFI’s official appointment.
