Why OHS inspection should not be postponed
An exploding boiler, a falling crane, or a burning electrical installation almost always starts with a small defect that went unnoticed. Inspection and testing finds that defect before it becomes an accident. The results are also proof that your company meets its OHS obligations when labor inspectors visit.
The risks of leaving it
Workplace accidents
Equipment failure can injure or even kill workers.
Operations stopped
Labor inspectors can prohibit or stop work processes when an OHS object does not meet requirements. Work may only resume after a certificate of OHS compliance is issued.
Loss of assets and production
Major breakdowns and stopped machines cost far more than periodic inspection.
Legal liability
Equipment without valid inspection records weakens the company’s position if an accident occurs.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between first and periodic inspection?
A first inspection is for new equipment before it is used. Periodic inspections follow regularly after that, at intervals set by the equipment type and applicable regulations.
How long until the documents are issued?
We prepare the report once inspection and testing are complete. The time for documents from the competent authority follows that authority’s process.
Which equipment can be inspected?
Seven fields: boilers and pressure vessels, lifting and conveying equipment, power and production machinery, electrical installations, lightning protection, elevators and escalators, and fire protection systems. Each field has its own explanation page.
Prepare a list of your equipment with photos of the nameplates, then send it through the quote form. Choose first or periodic inspection, and we will put together the schedule.
